If you absolutely need a treat it’s possible to replace the Almond Butter with Salted Peanut Butter and an additional Pinch of Salt if your heart desires. We’ll keep that between us.
Other truly Paleo alternatives to Almond Butter are homemade jellies or jams like raspberry or blueberry. Try half Jam, half Almond Butter for a peanut butter and jelly-like tummy pleaser. I use a Pyrex for this dessert and add the Snap-able cap for the time it sits in the freezer, but saran wrap works just as well if your bowl doesn’t have a lid.
We’re being very unruly here, after all this has a lot of Maple Syrup in it… practice moderation because it can spike blood sugar. Don’t worry though – it only takes 1-2 of these to feel satisfied after a meal because they are quite rich! I suggest Grade B or “Grade A: Dark color and robust taste” syrup for utmost enjoyment.
